Public Works Questions
If the tree is historic or if it was planted as part of the requirements for a new subdivision, then a permit and replacement will be required. If the tree is less than 20 inches in diameter, and if you have been in your home for more than ten years, and if the tree is not located in a designated tree protection or natural area, you may be able to remove it without a permit. If you have questions about removing trees within the City limits, please contact the City Forester at 386-626-7178.
