Once a property is connected to utility service, service cannot be cancelled unless the building is demolished. Water can be disconnected however, monthly charges for service availability will continue. When a property is sold, service can be transferred to the new owner upon presentment of a signed deed as evidence of ownership. Service may be disconnected in a tenant’s name and transferred back to the property owner once notification has been provided to the City that the tenant has vacated the property.
